Global New Light of Myanmar reports that Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov met with Myanmar military leader General Min Aung Hlaing ahead of the joint naval exercises between Myanmar and Russia that started on Tuesday. The first Myanmar-Russia joint military exercises involving Russia's Pacific Fleet and the Myanmar Navy will be held in the Kapali Sea until November 9. According to the report, the two countries will participate in the military exercises that shape air and water threat prevention and maritime security measures.

Global New Light of Myanmar newspaper reported that Russian Navy Commander Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov met with Myanmar military leader General Min Aung Hlaing before conducting military exercises and explained the capabilities of the Russian destroyer Admiral Tributs.
